Argumento
In early-1930s Berlin during the Weimar Republic and the rise of Nazism, Hermann Hermann, a Russian emigrant chocolate manufacturer married to the capricious Lydia, grows increasingly frustrated with his life and business dealings. When he encounters Felix, an unemployed vagrant who appears to be his doppelgänger, Hermann becomes convinced that Felix is him from another life. Driven by a desire for transcendence, Hermann hatches a murderous plan to trade places with Felix. However, things do not go as planned, leading Hermann into a mental breakdown and profound despair.
