Argumento
Die Kaltenbach-Papiere follows Istvan Kaltenbach, an unscrupulous arms dealer living in Portugal with his daughter Sharon. When the German Federal Bureau of Investigation (BKA) threatens him with evidence of his involvement in a toxic gas plant in Iran, Kaltenbach agrees to act as a front man to buy nuclear warheads on the international black market. Journalist Tom Severin, who has befriended Sharon, becomes unwittingly involved in this mission. After Tom arranges a meeting with the sellers in Lisbon, a car explosion occurs, and everyone believes him dead. Tom's wife Eva arrives later, investigating his death, and discovers he is alive but working for Dr. Goetz of the BKA. Eva continues her investigation and finds Sharon kidnapped. She traces Kaltenbach to Erfoud where she finds Sharon and learns about Kaltenbach's past crimes. In a final confrontation, Kaltenbach takes Eva hostage demanding safe passage with the nuclear warheads. Tom tries to intervene but is shot by Kaltenbach.
