A wealthy Japanese businessman, Jodhiyashu, travels to Australia with the intention of purchasing a 1967 Citroën DS. Upon arrival, he discovers that the seller and his wife have died, leaving behind their blind daughter, Deirdre. Despite this unexpected turn of events, Jodhiyashu decides to embark on a journey through the Australian outback alongside Deirdre in search of the car's original owner. The trip takes them five days and also serves as an exploration into Deirdre's past and her family history.
