Jacob, a young man with a rare skin disorder that makes him sensitive to sunlight, lives a solitary life working as a security guard at night. His world changes when he meets and falls in love with Mary, a local bartender. As his condition worsens, Jacob begins craving blood for sustenance, initially consuming animal blood but eventually resorting to human blood due to its effectiveness.
