Full Biography

Arcelia Ramírez, born December 7, 1967, is a Mexican actress with over 50 film and TV credits since 1985. She studied at the Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT) and has been nominated for numerous awards including four Ariel Awards. Ramirez gained international recognition for her role in 'La civil' at the Cannes Film Festival 2021, where she received a standing ovation. Her most notable film is 'Así es la vida...' (2000), a Mexican adaptation of Euripides' Medea, set in Mexico City's underbelly.

Story

La mujer de Benjamín follows Benjamin, an old bachelor living with his sister Micaela in a small town. He finds entertainment by playing like children with other old men. Benjamin becomes infatuated with the young and beautiful Natividad. Initially, he tries to win her affection by writing love letters, but when this fails, he and his group of friends devise a scheme to abduct Natividad, hoping that she will fall in love with him once they are together.
