Argumento
In Palermo, Sicily, in 1980, mafia member Tommaso Buscetta decides to move to Brazil with his family to escape the constant war between different criminal clans. However, after facing several misfortunes in Brazil, he returns to Italy and makes a life-changing decision that alters the course of Cosa Nostra forever.

Resumen
'Il traditore' (2019), directed by Marco Bellocchio, is based on the true story of Tommaso Buscetta, an Italian mafia member who became a pentito (informer) in the late 1980s. Set against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between different mafia clans in Sicily, the film explores the personal journey and ultimate decision of Buscetta that significantly impacted the destiny of Cosa Nostra.
