Mike, Fred, and J-C are three friends in their twenties living in Kembs, a small village near the borders of Germany and Switzerland. They pass their time playing football, planning half-baked schemes, and going on motorbike rides. Mike stands out among them due to his passion for cars, particularly Porsche. His peculiar habit is stealing cars and returning them, which he sees as his unique means of locomotion. One day, Mike meets Sandy while driving a Porsche and starts a genuine love affair with her. However, Mike is at a stage in his life where significant decisions need to be made, and it remains uncertain whether he will accept the new rules that come with adulthood.
'Mike' (2011), directed by Lars Blumers, is a coming-of-age drama comedy set in the small French village of Kembs. The film follows Mike and his two friends, Fred and J-C, as they navigate through life's uncertainties during their twenties. Mike's unique passion for cars serves as a metaphor for his desire to break free from the monotony of small-town life. The movie explores themes of friendship, love, and the challenges of growing up and making decisions about one's future.
