After meeting at her apartment where he's installing security systems, Alice, a successful businesswoman, and Adam, a working-class man in his early twenties, feel an instant connection. They attend a party together in the countryside where they engage in a passionate encounter. On their drive back to London, they hit a deer and stop to remove it from the road. Suddenly, three men in a van attack them. Adam is severely beaten and blinded in one eye, while Alice is raped. The trauma causes Adam to become impotent and withdrawn, and Alice returns to work but is haunted by the incident. A month later, Alice's father passes away, and she travels back to the countryside for his funeral. While there, she spots one of her attackers and discovers where he lives. Determined to seek revenge, Alice convinces Adam to join her in confronting their attacker.
