Biografía completa
Barbara Sommer is a German actress best known for her leading role as Regine in the 1991 DEFA film "Das Mädchen aus dem Fahrstuhl" (English title: The Girl in the Lift). The drama, directed by Herrmann Zschoche and filmed in 1990, explored the social divides in the former East Germany through the chance meeting of two young people from vastly different backgrounds. Sommer co-starred opposite Rolf Lukoschek.
Beyond this prominent early role, her acting filmography also includes a part in the 2000 film The Iceman from Oetz Valley (Der Ötzi-Mann). Sommer's career later evolved to include work behind the camera. It is important to note that there appear to be at least two individuals named Barbara Sommer working in the film industry. A different Barbara Sommer, born in Munich in 1982, is a successful writer known for screenplays such as One-Way to Moscow (2020) and The Black Spider (2022).
