Clea Carson starred in 'A Woman's Torment' (1977). The film tells the story of Frances, a woman living with her mentally ill sister Karen who has gone mute. Frances and her husband Don struggle with caring for Karen, leading to tension in their marriage. When they consider committing Karen to an asylum, she flees to an abandoned beach house on Fire Island where she experiences disturbing sexual encounters that exacerbate her mental state.
