Biografía completa
Matilda De Angelis is a multi-talented Italian actress and musician who has rapidly become one of European cinema's most compelling breakout stars. Born on September 11, 1995, in Bologna, she originally pursued a career in music, touring Europe as a singer and instrumentalist with the band Rumba de Bodas before pivoting to acting.
She made an explosive film debut in the 2016 racing drama Italian Race (Veloce come il vento), a performance that earned her a David di Donatello nomination and established her as a formidable new talent. Her international breakthrough came in 2020 with the HBO miniseries The Undoing, where her haunting portrayal of Elena Alves alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant captivated global audiences.
De Angelis has since solidified her status as a leading lady in major streaming productions, most notably starring as Italy’s first female lawyer in the hit Netflix period drama The Law According to Lidia Poët and taking the lead in the high-octane spy thriller Citadel: Diana. Beyond her screen presence, she is widely respected for her authenticity, frequently using her platform to challenge industry beauty standards by speaking openly about her struggles with anxiety and skin conditions.
