Maureen Kedes is the daughter of a renowned Stanford genetic scientist and was raised on campus and in Europe. She performed in theatre growing up then received a degree in English Literature from Columbia University where she minored in Psychology and studied playwriting and story structure. During her university years, she studied at American Conservatory Theatre in the summers and performed Off Off Broadway. Maureen also worked at Oxford University Press reviewing manuscripts and as a script reader for A-list celebrities. She studied at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York and Beverly Hills Playhouse. Once she was Los Angeles-based, she worked in film, television, theatre, and improv comedy and as a cabaret singer. In the late 1990s, went on a 22-year hiatus to raise her two boys, run a successful PR firm (with a blog and a radio show) and invest in real estate. Missing her creative side too much, in 2019, she decided to relaunch her acting career. Since then, she has played mostly leading roles in 54 independent projects for film and television.
